    Active as a composer, educator, and publisher, Jesse Wright-FitzGerald has had his music performed throughout the United States. Mr. Wright-FitzGerald received his master's degree in composition from Syracuse University, where he studied with Daniel S. Godfrey, and Andrew Waggoner. Mr. Wright-FitzGerald attended the University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music where he studied with Donald Crockett and Steven Hartke. He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he is finishing his doctoral dissertation while teaching at the Chapman University, Conservatory of Music in Orange, California.

    Mr. Wright-FitzGerald attended various music festivals including the Bowdoin International Music Festival and the Aspen Music Festival and School, where he studied with George Crumb and Syd Hodkinson respectively. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Music Center, American Composer's Forum, and the Society of Composers Inc. Mr. Wright-FitzGerald is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) as both a composer and publisher. Mr. Wright-FitzGerald owns and operates Dark Sky Press, which specializes in providing high quality music engraving services to contemporary composers.

    His works have been read and performed by numerous groups and individuals, including the Cassatt and Degas string quartets (String Quartet No. 1, A Time of Desire), the University of Southern California Symphony Orchestra (Sol), the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra (Red Sky at Daybreak), the Syracuse Society for New Music (Visions from a Broken Land for mixed ensemble), and the Syracuse University New Music Ensemble (Hope in the Wasteland for mixed ensemble).
